Years ago I designed an All-In-One conversion for my Tevo Tornado, so when I picked up a used CR-10 v2 on the cheap, my first order of business was to get rid of the horrible control box.
Luckily this time around an AIO conversion already existed (thanks Waggster!).
The only drawback to this was the LCD mount didn't mate properly with the angled Z support bar.
So I modified it a bit:
sliced the bottom flat with the plane of the mounting tab
extended the mounting tab
repositioned the holes so that it is mounted to the top of the side extrusion instead of the underside of the front
filled in side cutout as it was no longer needed
Being able to slide back and forth along the side extrusion means it's now possible to tighten it up right against the angled Z support, so much so that I didn't even bother with a zip tie (though I did remix from the mount with the zip tie hole, so the option remains to add one if you wish).
