This is a simple lighting setup I designed for the Ender 5 (Pro).
Printed parts:
2x Strip holders (these clip into the V-slot on your printer's frame and the aluminium extrusions fit into them snugly)
1x Control Box
1x Control Box Lid
Aside from the 3D printed parts you'll need:
- 3x Toggle switch with a body footprint measuring 5x8 mm (see attached image)
- 3x 29-30 cm long pieces of 7x13 mm aluminium extrusion for your LED strips.
- 3x leghts of LED strip of your choice to fit the three aluminium extrusions
- 1x 12V power supply
- Wiring as required
To hook everything up, I got mains power from the input of the Ender's 24V power supply, and daisy chained to the small 12V supply which I installed in the base of the printer. This way it gets power only when the printer is switched on.
I commoned all the negative terminals on the 3 LED strips to the 12V supply's negative, and the ran the positive from the 12V supply through the toggle switches, one for each LE
