Having seen several designs for LED strips, I really wanted to create one that would better serve my purpose. I have a number of different LED tapes, but needed something thin and lightweight to held two strips of LED lights.
This model comes in two pieces to make a 200mm long thing that holds 2 LED strips. Fits exactly on the Prusa i3 MK3.
The lights I use are: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HSF65MC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
UPDATE 7-2-18:
* Added more photos of the completed Thing.
* I used Loctite Ultra Control Gel super glue to glue the two parts together.
* On one Thing, I added one tail. On the other, I added two so that they could be daisy chained.
* I used hot glue to secure the end with the tail wiring.
* **Note** that the Thing is a bit longer than needed, but I did that to make more room for the wiring.
* I added barrel connectors so that they could be used together or independently. Then, I made a short jumper cable to connect the two.
