My need was to have an adjustable height LED torch stand. Adjustment is 50mm.
Modified the stem and added outer square tube for adjustment. The stop collar slides and holds to desired height.
Square tube is in two pieces and glued together. The lower stem piece is glued into the base. The square tube is then glued to the base over the short stem. The upper stem slides inside the square tube.
If you scale the square tube to 95mm and print as one piece, gluing the two pieces is eliminated.
