This is a small and simple pocket microscope. With an inexpensive 4mm lens it is possible to see things such as blood cells, epithelia cells and objects of that magnitude if properly prepared as in sets of basic science microscope slides.

This will require two adjustment screws with nuts and washers, also a lens and thread taps for the lens and screws. I used a M12x0.5 tap for the 4mm CCTV lens from ebay and 38mm, allen key M3 bolts for the adjustment screws. Double sets of lock nuts can be used as thumbscrews for adjusting the specimen holder. A little glue or loctite will help fasten the lock nuts.

The coupler block is threaded with a M3 tap so the position of the specimen holder can be adjusted. Some adjustment to the block using a file may be necessary for a snug fit.

Curtain clips can be used to fix specimen glasses to the holder. Different focal length lenses may give a variety of magnifications. The focal length of the lens may determine which way the specimen holder s
