ABUS 500kg LS Jib Crane for Lego!
Hi all, here’s my model of a jib crane scaled for Lego. Perfect addition for any workshop build!
All been designed to be easy to print with no supports needed.
Arm: print on its side.
Drill a 1mm hole about 4mm deep at either end of the pivot point. Insert a 6mm long 1mm pin (2mm sticking out) on the bottom and a 9mm long 1mm pin in the top (5mm sticking out)
Pillar: if you have a low grade/cheaper printer for best set up on the printer, place on its side. Once printed, glue or 3d pen the base to a 2x2 plate.
If you have a high-grade printer, there is a 2x2 plate included with the files. Just add this in the slicer under the pillar. You may need supports for this set up
Two 1/1.5mm holes will need to be drilled on the flanges for the arm to pivot.
Insert the top in for the arm into the top flange hole first and then the bottom one. When upright the arm will naturally stay in.
Slide the hoist onto the arm. The hoist can be placed anyw
