Letter Cutter

My freind who runs a creative cake business wanted to make some fancy letters for her decorations but could only buy simple ones. This is what I made for her, you might like them too.

I have used a slicer cheat to not print the inside of the letter, you need to turn off infill and set top and bottom solid layers to 0. I tend to use 2 perimeters for strength and better tolernce of extruder sliping.

I have only done STLs for S and & (business name is S&S) so you will need to enter into the wonderful world of openSCAD to do your own, you can also use Web fonts to get hearts and flowers.

The grid backing is; firstly to hold the inside bits of any letters in the right place but also to have something to grab hold of. It has holes so you can poke a stick through to release the letter if necessary.
