This is my first Lidl glider conversion. I wanted to create a unique look and could not find any inverted V-Tail configurations online. Here you can find all you need to copy this conversion.
There are a number of 3D printable parts and a drawing for the tail parts in 3mm medium to hard balsa. The spar holder tail part should also be printed mirrored so you have a left and right version. There are breakaway supports to help it stay upright during printing.
Print 6 pushrod guides
Print 2 spar holders for the wing
Print 1 V-Tail top joiner
Print 1 set of motor mount parts
You will need:
2x 350mm carbon tube 5x4mm
3mm Balsa for the tail
6mm Balsa for the wing extension and ailerons
4x rudder horns
self tapping screws to attach the rudder horns
some 1.2mm steel pushrods
4x 9 gram servo's
25 gram glass cloth for the wing
G4 polyurethane to apply the glass (or similar 1K polyurethane lacquer)
Alternatively you can glue carbon tubes into the wing to stiffen it.
