The light meter cover is a new accessory developed by Newland for the automatics Polaroid Land cameras series 100-400.
Light meter cover #195 mask the cell from light, this way it permits to let the shutter open for at least 30 secondes.
This accessory is mostly used for long exposure at night, like a bulb mode. It’s better to use a cable release in conjonction, to don’t move the camera when take the photo.
