Light Switch Plate Shelf

I was thinking about printing a funky light switch surround plate, when the thought hit me. All this wasted space around the light switch! I could make shelves!

Enter this design - A set of shelves that replaces the light switch surround plate on a standard Decora light switch, and is held in place by the same screws that the original plate used.

Printed on my P1P out of PLA+ (0.6mm nozzle, 475g, 9 hours). I debated using PETG, and if I were more worried about it getting hit/run into, I would have. As it is, with PLA and some hefty print settings, it is reasonably strong.

The size is designed to print comfortably on a Bambu machine. In case you want to resize the exterior to better fit your printer, or simply want to customize the shelves, there is a .step file with just the back plate, for you to slice/dice as required for your application.
