This is a 3d-printed lighted number sign I designed for our FTC robotics team. This allows you to 3D print the base and numbers you want and then assemble everything using some LEDs and electronics. The FTC team I mentor (#26037 Cyber Tigers) displays this sign at their robotics competitions.
There are three parts needed for each number - a base, a back, and a front. The bases all assemble together and can be held with hot glue. The fronts align to the bases using four alignment pins and can also be held with hot glue. The backs have the LEDs installed on them and snap into the fronts.
Suggest the following print settings:
Bases - 0.20mm layer height, 15% infill, supports everywhere. Print with the bottom of the base on the plate with supports in the large wiring cavity underneath. The top of this is flat, which can cause the bottom to lift off the bed if not using ideal print settings. I used a Hilbert Curve infill with organic supports to reduce the warping effect.
Fronts - 0.20m
