Lightweight Spring Clip

WARNING: Wear eye protection while assembling this in case the spring is uncooperative and decides to attack you.

The spring clip on the back of a Phiaton bluetooth headphones was to made too flimsy to stand up to normal use and snapped off. Since I didn't really want to spend another $75 to replace the headphones, and all the products I could find were for MUCH heavier devices (e.g. pagers or flip-phones), I just spent some "hobby" time designing a replacement that I could 3D-print and epoxy on where the old spring clip broke off. This could be used on any small device that needs to be clipped onto clothing. Hope it's useful to someone.

You'll need a roll pin that's about 1mm diameter and about 20mm (2cm) long. Then you can "permanently borrow" the spring from a small hair clip (see photo).

The assembly tool is optional, but it might make it easier to hold the spring in place while you get the roll pin through the hinge.
