As my first finished 3D proiject I designed this linear rail as a cheaper option for the purchased ones. Inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2847294 but created from scratch.

I haven't printed succestully yet, applying changes after each try, looking to upload pics as soon as I have something printed :(

Printing:

Make sure the printer is perfectly calibrated as well as your slice settings, you aim for a perfect smooth surface.

I have 2 profiles sizes for the rail

What to buy:

Any 3mm metal ball, arround 30 (TBC)

Nothing else, Yay CHEAP!!!

To hold everything in place I used 3D printed nuts and bolts, and also T nuts, from the following projects:
