This is a Lithophane Carousel.
Initially planned to use a light bulb to light up, and heat generated to spin. Decided to use LED for lighting, and used a fan for spinning, but could not control spin rate. Changed to using geared DC motor, with a Variable DC converter so I could adjust speed.
