Lithophane Frame (Optical Illusion)

This is a lithophane frame with a diffuser I designed for the Glow Within Contest. I included a test lithophane of an optical illusion just to have something in the example, but the main idea is for you to frame your own lithophanes. The frame is sized to hold a 140mm x 140mm lithophane with a 2mm border that’s 3.5mm deep. I used ItsLitho to generate mine. In my experience, a min thickness of 0.4mm and a max thickness of 2.5mm worked well, but feel free to experiment—just keep the same overall size and border settings so it fits properly in the frame. For lighting, I used this USB-powered light from Amazon, which is bright and easy to set up. The frame should also work with LED strips up to 10mm wide. My tip: slide all the frame pieces onto the LED strip first, then adjust them into position so they fit together cleanly. ⚠️ Note: The frame pieces can be assembled incorrectly if you’re not careful.
