This Lithophane box is intended for lithophanes which are 146.5mm x 110mm x 4mm
To start, I created the box in Microstation.
Then I imported the box to blender and used boolian tools to add the following:
- 9v battery holder which, of course, I can't find on thingiverse now.
- An Arduino Nano holder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2336955
(the nano will control and power the LED Neopixel strips)
- created a rectangular box and used boolian tools to subtract it from the box to create a port to plug in the Nano.
I chose to use the nano because 1, the ability to power the LEDs through the USB port, 2, it can handle being powered with a 9v battery, and 3, you can program different lighting schemes into the nano such as different colors and brightness to name a couple. I will add some code sketches for the nano as well as wiring from the battery to the nano and nano to neopixels when I get it all figured out.
