A 3D printable alternative to the standard PC4-M6 and PC4-M10 bowden connectors. My design uses a simple screw in clamping mechanism to lock the PTFE tube into the connector.
I created this as a companion to my Reverse Bowen Tap.
I've found it to be an acceptable substitute that should save you time and money, hope you do too! Enjoy!
Design
A simple design consisting of a base and clamping nut. The nut is common to both the M6 and M10 bases and comes in a standard and tall spiked head. The taller head is easier to tighten and the standard provides a minimal implementation/footprint. There are two versions of the M10 base with one allowing for the PTFE tube to be pushed through the entire base. UPDATE[20-05-31] Added a hex head nut variant.
The assembly process is straightforward:
Slide in a fastening nut through a 4mm PTFE Bowden tube with the threads facing the end that you want to connect.
Push the PTFE tube into the base fitting with the X cutout.
