I think that is clear what they are made for :-)
They fit to the thread and cover nut and washer.
There is 1 mm gap on the bottom that ensures correct preload.
I locked my i3 allumimium on a MDF plate.
Next step will be a set of ties, the z axis is not so solid ... :-)
