This is a 6 pin holder for inspecting the end of the pins with a microscope/usb microscope. This allows the user to maintain the same focus across all the pins. This is designed to be used for armature forensics to investigate lock key pins for signs of picking. However, there are probably plenty of fields that may find this design concept useful. This is designed for 0.115" Schlage pins, however, this is designed with square inserts and should be able to be used with any similar sized pins.
This requires at least 2 M3 25mm (20mm may barely work) screws and nuts, with holes for up to 5 for maximum clamp pressure (I had no issue with 2 screws). Using a washer on each screw is recommended, but not required. The washer and nut are press fitted, which can easily be done by screwing everything together. Make sure the pieces are flipped so that the number 1 slot is the same on both sides. Choose long or short, and print the nut and washer for that size, or alternatively use two washer si
