Loopy (a tessellation)

Many people love tessellations, myself being one such person!

I find it such a pleasure to experiment with designing them, and even more so to be playing with them after making a physical version!

In a previous work incarnation I was lucky enough to do this, which produced a small additional income for them, but worth so much more than money was seeing the pleasure such things can bring to people! At that time I used to laser cut tessellations from translucent acrylic in different colours, but for the moment I've only access to 3D printing.

Being in lockdown, I've started looking at them again, and so here is the first of 2020 that I chanced upon. I think it's a fair challenge having 3d printed a few and tried them out!

I've added two designs. One has holes in (designed as a sort of thick continuous outline). The second has no holes.

I'd be most happy for anyone to 3D print (or laser cut etc) several of either or both designs and give them a try! :-)
