This project involves the cutting of all components of the chair through a laser cutter from a plywood panel and then assembled according to traditional craft techniques.
Laser cutting becomes a necessary tool to create an object which blends into it craftsmanship knowlwdge, tradition and innovation, three elements that I believe are essential to the success of Italian design.
But there is a fourth element, the social function of the project: this is a product that will not be exported through slow and dusty trucks, planes or highly polluting, but through a simple e-mail.
Where there is a FabLab there is a potential place to produce this chair, green and cheap, because on the final price will insist only the cost of wood.
