LunaRig - Cinema

Introduction I present to you the Cinema Rig in my two part LunaRig series (The other being the LunaRig Compact). These rigs are built around Instra360's Luna Ultra camera. This rig is meant to get a little more serious with the film work, offering protection, a more solid feel, tons of mounting spots, configuration options, an external mount for a battery, and two lens hoods for wide or regular. The side grips can be mounted in a variety of configurations to suit your needs. The top handle includes a mounting point for the remote control, to get it up and a little more into view, while your camera is mounted in the rig. The lens hoods are meant to provide protection, but also a mounting point for a matte box. The wide version is 110mm on the OD and the regular one is 95mm OD. Because of the lens configuration on the Luna, when you take a hard left turn, the lens hood will come into view while at 1x zoom. Works best when zoomed in to at least 2x, although the wide lens hood will accommodate the 1x better, provided you don't turn too quickly. This rig is intended to be used in Roll Lock or FPV gimbal modes. The back bracket provides a ¼" mounting spot for an NP-F style battery plate. I printed the main body for mine up in Bambu's Iron Gray Metallic, although if you're working hard with this rig I'd recommend sticking with more robust filaments, like PETG(CF), ABS/ASA, or one of the engineering filaments.
