Lungs Model

Lungs Model built using a plastic bottle, three baloons (two of them red) and two flexible pipes.
The baloon at the bottom works like the diaphragm, the muscle that expands and contracts causing lungs to fill with air and then empty out again. The movement of the red balloons matches the breathing, when a person breathe in, the lungs fill with air, that’s because the diaphragm expanded making room for air to get in through the bronchus (in our model the joint pipes). When a person breathe out, the diaphragm contracts pushing all the air out of your lungs.
The students can enjoy creating a new face for the model.
