Merry Christmas, a small gift to go along with my collection of M6 Variants.
I think this variant of M6 deserves its own post.
In 1944, the Americans were pondering what to do about some of the later (and heavier) German panzers. They thought of putting a 105mm anti-tank gun on a vehicle, but they lacked a vehicle that could carry it...except an old M6 prototype. They replaced the turret on 2 of the prototypes with an new M6A2E1 turret. The tank was tested, and the gun was found to be good, but needed a new type of tank. This lead to the development of T29 and that series of tanks.
Update 3/31/19
-Hull updated (like other M6 variants)
Update 4/3/19
-Turret Size increased (Plug did not fit and turret seemed a bit off when I printed it.)
Update 4/3/20
-Edited the 105mm gun muzzle break
