This is is 1:1 model of the M829a3 APFSDS round. It is only semi-accurate as some modifications have been made to make the model more print-friendly. It is a screw based system with quite tight tolerances. The model has an assembled height of ~950mm.
When printing on print beds with low adhesion parts may or may not break off before the print is finished.
There is 2 options for fins, the accurate ones (option 1) and the print-friendly ones (option 2). Printing the fins upside down works just fine too and is recommended for option 1.
The example print provided in the picture below was printed at 250mm/s with regular PLA.
The sabot is not personally test-printed by me, print at own risk (risk being wasting material and time)
