I was running into potential problems with dust (and pet dander) accumulating between the underside of my Mac Studio and my desk surface. I created this open bottom riser to provide additional clearance for ventilation and to make cleaning easier. To simplify and reduce any issues with overhang, the riser is printed in two pieces. Simply slip the inner piece into the outer piece ensuring that it is pushed all the way through (so that both sets of feet are flush with the desk surface. It is intentionally a tight fit that that they stay together. Once assembled (see photos), there is a 3 mm rabbet (step-shaped recess) to seat the Mac Studio or Mac Mini into. Note: The Mac Studio draws in cool air from the tiny holes on the bottom and expels hot air through the large grille on the back. Both areas need unobstructed space. Even with this riser, it is still important that you regularly clean your Mac Studio using a detailing brush and a vacuum to remove any dust buildup.
