This is originally for removal of the keycaps on Macbooks with the scissor-mechanism.This has NOT been tested on models with the butterfly switch. This can be used to remove keycaps to clean underneath if the keys feel “sticky”.This tool helps reduce the chances of breaking the “legs” on the bottom side of the keycaps when removing them. Since you are only contacting the keycap, there is no risk of scratching around the keyboard unlike using a pry tool. The larger end is for the “1x1” keys such as the Function keys on a MacBook Pro, Letters & Numbers while the other end is used to remove “1x0.5” keys such as the arrow keys and the Function row on certain MacBook Airs. I use Tesa Tape as my adhesive but 3M double side tape will work as well.“Snap Legs” refers to the clips on the bottom of the keycaps that click in when it is installed.Please do research on the location of the “snap” legs for your keycaps before attempting to remove the keycaps.Most snap location are located on the botto
