MacBook Pro Vertical Stand

This vertical laptop stand is a remix on Sandbergs "MacBook Aluminium Unibody Vertical Stand" (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:146107)

I added an .AI file for anyone that wants to make or recreate their own.

I needed a simple vertical stand for my laptop in my new desk setup.

While I like 3D printing as a technique to fabricate my own gadgets I found that for this specific gadget it was too time consuming. Making a simple 3D model of the original would take anywhere between 1 tot 3 hours depending on the settings. By using a lasercutter I was able to get this process down to 20 minutes.

The final product will have the following dimensions:

Height: 80mm
Width: 145mm
Length: 210mm

It will fit a 2012 MacBook Pro Retina
