Inserting magnets into 3D prints can be tricky, especially when polarity matters. This simple tool is designed to help you insert small cylindrical magnets — like neodymium magnets — into your prints quickly and accurately, without flipping the poles by mistake. To ensure you always know which magnetic pole is facing outwards, I recommend printing two copies of the tool in different colors. For example, print one in red to represent the north pole and one in blue for the south pole. This way, you can preload each tool with magnets of the correct orientation, and keep track of them easily during assembly. Using this method reduces the chance of incorrect placement and saves a lot of frustration when you're embedding multiple magnets into a print that relies on precise polarity — especially for snap-fit closures, modular parts, or magnetic joints. I do recommend using a reinforced filament, but most filaments will do. The hole is adjustable inside the slicer in case you need to adjus
