Have you ever loaded that shiny new spool of filament into your printer just to realize that... crap!, you forgot to run the filament string through the sensor first, and now you have to pull it from the printer and do it all over again.
Well, no more.
This handy sensor case with embedded magnets easily and comfortably clamps onto your filament string at any time and as many times as you want, with no wear and tear, since it is held together solely by the magnets.
You will need 6 pieces of 5mm x 2mm round neodymium magnets, which you can buy in your local magnet store.
This case has been designed to be a perfect fit for the version of the mechanical endstop with the slightly longer arm.
How to embed the magnets into the print:
- Set the printer to pause the print at the start of layer 17 (this depends on your layer height though, pick the last layer, before the magnet holes get covered), by using something like the M600 gcode (you can use your slicer to do that, or ma
