These are models for sodium and chloride ions that can be combined together to form a salt crystal. This remix is a resize of an existing model that scales the ions to an appropriate size to be used with the magnetic water molecule model posted here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4050782

The ions each consist of two half-spheres glued together with superglue, and six 5x2mm circular magnets. The magnets should fit snugly into the circular indentations; use a somewhat generous amount of glue to make sure that they stay affixed. Magnets can pop out of their holes if insufficient glue is applied and the models are dropped. Orient the magnets in the two ion types so that the two ion types will attract together. If you plan to use these ion models with magnetic water molecules, orient the molecules placed into the chloride ions (the larger of the two ions) so that the chloride ions will be attracted to the hydrogen ends of your magnetic water molecules.
