I assemble a fair number of projects on PCBs I have designed myself. I am constantly looking for sticky-tack to hold the boards down whilst I solder them up and prevent them from wandering over my bench! So I came up with these magnetic PCB stands.
I have configured the stands for 1.6mm thick PCB material which is my usual choice. They have 3mmx12mm neodymium magnets stuck in the base with standard modelling glue. The images show the stands in use on a ferrous metal surface (in this case, a base of a spare CD Rom Drive).
Printing is easy. I chose to print them inverted, as in the Cura image, and use support in the aperture meant for the PCBs. It is then a simple task to clear out the aperture after printing.
