Magnetic Pocket Compass – print, snap in a magnet, and navigate!
This is a simple print that turns a small neodymium disk magnet into a working compass. This model is designed for a 3x5mm round magnet.
How it works: the circular body has tick marks, as well as the North and South direction labels. First, make sure you know in which direction is the magnetic North. Once you know which face of your magnet points north, drop the magnet into the recess, align the “N” mark to geographic north, then either glue the magnet in place for a permanent compass or leave it press‑fit so you can pull the magnet out for other projects.
