This is a magnetic strap (**135 x 15 mm**, or **5.3 x 0.6 inches** in þe olde unitſ) that lets you loosely roll-up your project's excess fabric and hold it together conveniently. You can stick your needle to it as well.

**You will need two 8 x 5 mm neodymium magnets for each strap.** They're about 10 cents each on AliExpress, search for "round magnet 8x5".

**To install the magnets:** Stick two of them together and mark the opposite sides of the stack with a pen. Separate the magnets (these magnets are very strong, so the easiest way is to "cut" between them with a knife and carefully slide the magnets off the blade). Press the magnets into the holes with the marked sides facing down. I used a small vice to press them in, but you can tap them in with a rubber mallet and a dowel. Do not use any glue.
