Mailbox door clip

There is a plastic thing that fits on the door of the mailbox. It is used to keep the door secured but it is plastic and we live in a cold climate. It is engineered to fail because it is designed so that if one side breaks/fatigues, you can rotate it 180 and use the other side until it breaks again.
