I designed this maker coin for MRRF 2021. A fibonacci sequence (spiral) is often found in nature, and I wanted to put it on my coin. I borrowed code from here:
https://openhome.cc/eGossip/OpenSCAD/GoldenSpiral.html
I also designed the coin in 2D in Inkscape with vectors, and then exported, which you will also see in the SCAD code if you look.
To make it a fidget spinner, print 2 coins, and the pushpin parts (includes a pin and a cylinder). Bonus points if you use a Palette and color in the fibonacci spiral. I recommend using at least 2 different colors when printing the coins as well.
Fit the pin through the hole of the coin, into the cylinder and then give 'er a spin.
Print settings should be 10% infill, .20 or lower layer height. I've made these in PLA and PETG and they are fine either way.
Enjoy!
