This is a system of parts to convert the MakerGear M2 to use the Flexion extruder combined with the E3D-V6 hot end. The system will allow printing of very soft flexible materials using the Flexion extruder on the M2.
The mounting bracket was machined out of aluminum and perforated with 6.35 mm holes to minimize weight and the maximize rigidity. I believe the bracket could be successfully printed out of a variety of hard materials with similar results.
Important highlights:
- The bed fan rotates to permit easy removal/exchange and inspection of E3D hot ends.
- The clamp part also holds and ducts the E3D fan eliminating E3D's fragile duct.
- 25 and 30 mm long socket head screws are required to assemble the bed fan and motor/clamp.
- All parts except the mounting bracket were printed from PETG at .20 mm.
- All parts required drilling, tapping or sanding to some degree to allow for proper fits.
- The clamp part also features magnets to hold a dial indicator for bed leveling
