Mallet Holder

This is a design for a holder for marimba or xylophone mallets. This is purposely designed for my Premier marimba, so it may need adjustments using the OpenSCAD file to accommodate other marimba or xylophone dimensions (e.g. Musser and Deagan models). The new V2 OpenSCAD file is completely parameterized to allow for a lot of variations, so you can easily generate holders to your specific needs..

STL files are provided for 2-16 mallets, where there are one or two rows of mallets. The bracket has a gap width of 1 inch as needed for the side rail of a Premier marimba.

The STL file MalletHolder2x6n.stl has a notch that allows it to be used in parallel with the row of sharp/flat bars.

The STL file MalletHolderX4.stl has a 16.8mm gap width that allows it to be used on a low cost educational Xylophone.

When I obtain exact dimensions for the side rails of Musser and Deagan models, I will create the appropriate STL files and document dimensions in the V2 OpenSCAD file.
