Manningterning

Instrument til hurtig, approksimeret bestemmelse af Manningtal (M).
Værktøjet kastes ved vandløbet, og det estimerede Manningtal aflæses på den øverste flade.
Målingen kan evt. gentages indtil Manningtallet føles rigtigt.

OBS: Værktøjet kan kun bruges til et upræcist estimeret Manningtal på 5-30 m^(1/3)/s, med et interval på 5 m^(1/3)/s, og egner sig derfor bedst til forholdsvis ru strømningsveje som f.eks. vandløb.

Simple tool for a fast, approximate determination of the Strickler coefficient (K_s) .
The tool is thrown near the stream/open channel, and the estimated K_s is read on the top surface.
The measurement may be repeated until the number feels right.

NOTE: Can only be used for an imprecise estimated K_s of 5-30 m^(1/3)/s, with an interval of 5 m^(1/3)/s.
Manning's n can subsequently be calculated as 1/K_s.
