Tiling puzzles found with the aid of a program by dmoews - tiling-002.tgz
- see http://djm.cc/dmoews.html
The puzzles are made from 9 pieces, 7 hexominoes, a domino and a tromino. See the image in Notes for the numbering used to identify individual hexominoes. See also - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexomino
Four of the puzzles are of the kind that were described in thing:3155452, "Simple tiling puzzles". The hexominoes are in two sets, one of three pieces, numbers 6, 8, and 8 and a second set of four pieces numbers 16, 21, 22, and 29. The 4 piece set is to be taken, one at a time, and added to the three piece set to form a 4 piece puzzle. Each puzzle tiles a 5x5 square. As the pieces are all composed of 6 sub squares, the tiled square will be missing a sub square. In all 4 cases the solution will have a corner square missing; one of the puzzles, using piece 16, has a second solution where the tiled square lacks a sub square shifted diagonally one space in from a corner.
