Marble Machine 2 - Repaired motorized variant

Fixed the lift screw, the original turns in the wrong direction which does not permit the marbles to climb the lift. I used 3/8" chrome Steel balls. Can be found cheap on ebay.


Lessons Learned:

1. Use a floor fan to provide extra cooling for the lift screw, the edges can warp up if there is not enough cooling. The better it is cooled the smoother the lift operation.

2. Add a small strip of plastic at the top of lift (see photos) that provides a lip for the marbles to flip over. This prevents the marbles from getting stuck at the top. Without it you would need to wait for another marble to come up and push the first one over.

3. Add a small strip of plastic at the bottom of the lift (see photo) cover the rough surface of the PLA and help the marbles to slide right into the lift. Without it you would need to wait for a marble to hit the first one for it to enter the lift.

4. The small cylinder of the bottom of the lift IS NECESSARY! If it breaks off just reprint it and u
