March for Science - Denver 3D Logo Thing
Design by Jack Stade, idea by Eric Stade
Print two of White_Ring.stl -- one in white and one in teal
Print one of Red_Ring.stl
Print one of Logo.stl
Print all at between 2 and 5 times scale (pictures are of 4x scale object).
To get two-tone effect of logo, pause printer during print of Logo.stl, and change filament. (Example: if you are using Cura printing software, select "Switch to full settings" under the "Expert" menu. Click on "Yes" in the "Profile copy" dialog box that comes up. Click on "Plugins" at the top, then double-click on "Pause at height." In the "Pause height (mm)" field, enter x.1, where x is your scale. That is, if you're printing at 3x scale, enter 3.1, etc.)
The logo can be mounted inside the rings, using strings, keyrings, etc., or displayed below. See photos. (The rings, when assembled, rest nicely on a shot glass.)
