MARS Base One is made up of multiple modules, each one would designed to land separately on the surface of Mars using a rocket aided descent. Once on the surface the modules would be positioned autonomously by the Mobile Lab and would then be filled with a livable atmosphere.
The module in the left corner would be reserved for science purposes and the two modules under it are living space for the crew of up to eight people. The two modules with glass roofs are greenhouses for growing food and CO2 gas could be filtered through the plants and turned into oxygen for the astronauts. The module to the right of the greenhouses is the service bay which would contain the Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA) suits are stored and the life support system is located. The service bay would also have multiple 3D printers to create replacement parts.
