The Masterforce MX77 miter stand fits my needs in a miter saw stand - compact, wheeled, relatively light weight - but the support extension arms have a LOT of play. This arm stabilizer fits over the end of the extension arm, inside the framing, and greatly reduces the amount of play in the arm. I used a quick and dirty solution on the existing frame cap to further reduce play; a few layers of electrical tape to hold the plastic snug to the bar and fill in void space inside the framing. Maybe I'll replace it with a 3D printed part if it ever fails, but these combined changes go a long way in removing the slop that is present in these arms straight out of the box. I drilled/tapped the extension arm for a 4-40 screw to keep the new endcap in place. The through hole will fit up to a #6 screw.
I adjusted the model until it exactly fit the machine profile of my metal extension arms, but a needle file set (or scaling X & Y) could just as easily have worked. Note that the widths to accommod
