Recently, the makerspace I work at (The Forge at Rensselaer) got a Makrforged Onyx Pro. If you don't know what that means, it's a printer that prints in chopped carbon with an option to lay in either concentric or isotropic strands of fiberglass. It's insanely cool and VERy strong, you should check it out (https://markforged.com/product/onyx-pro/).
Anyway, as soon as I heard we'd be getting one, I set off to design something unlike anything I'd ever made before. It was gonna have curves. It was gonna be sleek. It was gonna be fast. Hell, it might even be AERODYNAMIC, imagine that!
After a few failed attempts and several weeks of pondering and slowly working away at it, I ended up with the MAKO.
Since I severely overengineered it, it's easier if I just list some of the highlights:
- awesome cable management (super clean builds)
- air slits in the canopy (so ya don't burn up)
- fille
