Mecanum wheels are omnidirectional wheels equipped with rollers angled at 45°, allowing a robot to move in any direction (forward, backward, sideways, diagonally, and rotate) without changing its orientation. When used in a 4-wheel configuration, they provide control over 3 degrees of freedom. These wheels are ideal for mobile robots operating in indoor environments, thanks to their high maneuverability and movement precision. These wheels are designed for use with NEMA 17 motors. They are approximately 72mm diameter. On one side, there is a slot for locking in a flange, which can be rigidly connected to the motor shaft. On the opposite side, a bearing can be inserted, where a rivet rotates, passing through an element called the “Aligner.” A self-locking washer is placed between the wheel and the Aligner, ensuring a stable, play-free connection. For assembling the rollers, you’ll need M3 screws approximately 43 mm long (to be cut to size) along with their matching nuts. The two main pa
