*A notebook stand that raises the bottom edge of the laptop screen to align with a desktop monitor.*
Was in need of a new notebook stand as I had to replace my notebook. I had designed my previous stand to the exact contour of the old device, so it didn’t fit anymore. This time, I wanted a more sustainable solution.
It is designed for the thickness of a 14" MacBook Pro (11.3 mm) but fits and securely holds larger notebooks as well.
I printed my version with PETG, a 0.6 mm nozzle, 0.3 mm layer height, 3 perimeters, 4 solid layers, and no brim. Skipping the brim caused the thinner edge to warp slightly, but not in a way that affected usability. The design includes four flat areas for round anti-slip pads (8 mm diameter), which are mandatory if you want to use the notebook’s fingerprint sensor.
