This is an adjustable membrane-driven flutehead that converts any pipe-like object into a resonating flute. It works by letting air through an outer channel of the flutehead by blowing into the mouth piece. The air then has to travel by the membrane to access the inner tube which connects to the tube-piece you have chosen.
The sound will vary in pitch, timbre and volume depending on the membrane material used and dimensions of the tube.
The membrane could be any relativelt thin filmed material cut to a size that covers the opening of the head, with to cocentric tube sections.
A thicker or stiffer membrane will tend to sound stiffer, more like a clarinet or saxophone reed. Whereas a looser thinner membrane could resemble more of a flapping sound.
