The original is approximately 18 in. It's cast metal, I'm not sure what but it's got a good patina to it. I scanned it with Creality Ferret Pro. I'm still learning how to use this thing. I've scanned some objects on a turntable and it only picked up the model. This time I got some of the turntable with the scan. I figured it wouldn't be a problem, I'd use Meshmixer and clean it up. No such luck, I can't get it to load for some reason. I've tried uninstalling and redownloading and reinstalling. Still no luck. So, here's what I did: First, I opened the file in Cura, and resized it to 50%, making it approximately 9 in. Then, when I set it on the base, I set the Z-index to -5. This left just the mermaid, and not the bit of turntable. That worked perfectly. I will try and clean the stl file (and if possible, resize it), but this is it for now. I think it printed pretty well.

By the way, the original is mounted on a wall, therefore the flat back. I will eventually paint the model.
