When you cut sheet metal, it leaves an edge that can be abrasive to nearby wiring, even after filing the edges. The common practice is the shroud the edge with a grommet or some similar protection.
Here is a purpose built edge protector, 3D printed in such a way that it flexes across three adjacent straight metal edges. The protector is designed to clip onto the 1mm sheet metal edge. The three edge dimensions are 16 + 26 + 16mm. see photo to understand how the three sides hinge together.
The design is particular to my needs and is designed in Fusion 360. Since your needs are to more than likely vary, I've included the Fusion 360 design file so that you may customise the edge lengths to your needs.
My print is made in PETG 1.75mm Aurarum black filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 15% infill on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer.
I hope you can find this print useful, too.
